Scotch Self-Sealing Ethylene Propylene Rubber Tape 130C is a self-sealing ethylene propylene rubber based insulating tape with excellent electrical and dielectric properties. At 80 to 100 percent elongation, the individual winding layers join together to form a homogeneous winding without air pockets. Thus, it is excellently suited for winding on primary insulations at connections and terminations of plastic-insulated cables in the medium-voltage range up to 69 kilovolts – and especially for sealing coaxial connectors at antennas and cable entries. The rubber tape is resistant to moisture, diluted acids, weathering and UV radiation. It is also compatible with all cable sheathing materials. Since it has no liner, it is particularly easy to process. The 0.76 millimetre thick insulating tape has a dielectric strength of up to 35 kilovolts per square millimetre. It is self-extinguishing and, with a temperature resistance of up to 90 °C, belongs to insulation class Y.
